Remembering the First Day of School

At Kinder Buddies Oakville we know how important it can be to remember your kids firsts, especially the first day of school! With schools in Oakville starting up again next week it can be hard to decide on the best way to remember the First Day of School. We have made a list of some fun ways to keep track of all those first days of school!

1. Photos

The most obvious and easiest way to remember all the First Days of School is with a photo. But to make photos memorable there are many props you can make FOR the photo.  You can decorate a chalk board or dry erase board from the dollar store and write in what year your child is starting.

Photos can be put into large frames that document every grade or if you are more crafty you can create a scrapbook dedicated to your child’s academic career!

2. “Class of…” T-Shirt

Grab an extra large white T-Shirt. Figure out what year your little one will be graduating High School and put “Class of (year of graduation)” on the front. You can use Fabric Paint or get the T-Shirt professionally printed. Put the T-Shirt on quickly on the first day to take a picture each year, see how fast they grow!

3. First Day of School Interview

The one thing a photo doesn’t capture is the full extent of your kids personality at that age. After the first day of school, accompany your photo with a quick interview on your childs current likes and dislikes.

  • What I want to be when I grow up?
  • Favourite Subject
