Halloween Events for Toddlers in Oakville 2023

Halloween is such a fun time but Trick-or-Treating doesn’t really line up with our Toddler’s abilities or schedules. That’s why we love events during the day that allow toddlers to dress up and enjoy the spirit of Halloween without going door-to-door after dark.

Family-Friendly Halloween Events in Oakville

Halloween Spooktacular at Oakville Place
When: Saturday, October 28, 10am-6pm
Where: Oakville Place – 240 Leighland Ave
Cost: $10 per child, Adults Free

Walk around a not-so-spooky outdoor Halloween hunt. Kids get to collect a bag of treats at the end!

Trunk or Treating by Salvation Army
When: Saturday, October 28, 6pm-8pm
Where: Salvation Army Church in Oakville 2270 Speers Road
Cost: Free
Dress up in costume and collect some treats.

When: Tuesday, October 31st, 10am-12pm
Where: Downtown Oakville (Participating Businesses)

Take your toddler around in their costume to local businesses on Lakeshore Road to collect candy.

Basic Halloween Safety:

If you’re still going out it’s important to keep our littles safe!

• Make sure costumes are weather-appropriate: the best option is to be able to fit a jacket under the costume. Our autumn is cold!
• Watch where you’re going:  Bring a flashlight along so you can see where you are going. Stick to sidewalks and map a plan in advance so you have a safe route.
• Check Candy: An obvious and well-known safety tip is to check your child’s candy before giving it to them. Make sure everything is wrapped and sealed.
• Keep Accessories Minimal: When going door to door props like fairy wands and toy weapons are super fun for play but can be a hindrance while walking outside. Keep the Accessories at home for play.
