Questions?
Choosing a Child Care provider is never easy. As parents ourselves we at Kinder Buddies understand the importance of finding the right daycare provider that is safe, educational, and meets your families needs.
Below we have answered some of our most frequently asked questions.
Is there a registration fee?
Upon enrolment, there is a $50 registration fee.
Where does my infant sleep?
A separate sleep area with designated cribs is provided in our Infant Program.
Can I supply food from home?
You do not need to supply food from home. However, accommodations are made for special dietary requirements (i.e. formula, allergies, breast milk, etc)
Will you administer medication?
In accordance with ministry guidelines, staff at centre may administer prescription and non-prescription medication to your child, provided that you have filled out the appropriate documentation.
How do you accommodate allergies?
Your child’s health and safety is of the utmost importance. If your child has special dietary requirements, we would be happy to discuss such accommodations.
Are meals included?
Yes. All meals are included in our program fees.
What is your policy on nut-free foods?
Nut-free foods can be brought in for special occasions such as birthdays as long as the items remain in the original packaging.
Do you take the kids on field trips? Is there an additional cost for field trips?
Field trips and on-site visitors such as magic shows are planned monthly for a nominal fee. Permission forms, due dates and applicable fees are posted outside your child’s classroom for each event.
What documents do I need in order to register?
A registration package is provided to families once you decide to enroll your child in our program.
Does my child have to be potty-trained before they can attend your centre?
No. Our centre offers a toilet training information package and works with you and your child during this process.
Who provides diapers and wipes?
Parents are responsible to provide diapers, diaper rash cream, and wipes.
Do your teachers have any formal training?
All our programs are staffed with a devoted team of at least one qualified Early Childhood Educator supported by experienced assistants. Our entire team is fully trained and certified to administer First Aid and CPR to ensure your child’s safety.
Do you conduct fire drills?
As per ministry and fire department guidelines, we conduct monthly fire drills.
How do you ensure playground safety?
All our playground structures and equipment meet CSA code and the premises are inspected on a daily basis
Can I visit my child?
Yes. You are welcome to visit and observe your child participating in daily activities planned by their caregivers.
How are parents kept informed of the child’s day?
Parents are kept informed of the child’s day and activities through daily updates posted on parent boards for each class.
Do you offer a part-time program?
Yes. Part-time options (2 or 3 days per week) are offered on availability.
