We at Kinder Buddies know teaching kids is a full time job, it’s what we do! We also understand that some parents are still working from home while watching their kids. Walking your child through school work can be impossible while balancing all the other things going on. If you have chosen to take a more “home schooled, child led” approach we have some great online resources for you!
Free Scholastic Lessons
We have mentioned this before in our previous blog about working from home with kids, but Scholastic has a bunch of free materials right now! If you visit the Scholastic Website they have a Learn at Home section that has lessons from pre k to grade 9.

Math Story Time is a website that teaches math for children from kindergarten to grade 2. Math Story Time uses interesting stories to keep children engaged when learning math.

TVO Kids Programming
We know not everyone has cable TV so it’s fantastic new that a lot of the TVO Kids STEM programming is on youtube. TVO Kids has three separate youtube channels that teach children from kindergarten to grade three about Language, Math, and Science & Technology.

Canada National Ballet Lessons
Get your kids up and moving with fun Ballet Lessons for kids 3-12. There are dance along videos that are fun for kids 3-6, and full lessons for kids 6-12. If you ever wondered if it would be worth getting your child ballet lessons check their interest at home!

A project put together by Canadian Museums to put on historical and interesting online exhibits. Choose an exhibit as a family and about something new every day! There are a wide range of subjects from history, arts, nature, indigenous peoples, science and tech, as well as transportation and history.

Go Noodle is unique in that it teaches some interesting life skills we also teach at the daycare! Mindfulness, dancing, and yoga are all useful skills that your kids can work on from home. For kids in kindergarten to grade 6 Go Noodle is a great way to tire kids out while inside.
